Open Smagpie and already know

For All Coaches

You open Smagpie before practice. In ten seconds you want to know: who’s loaded, who’s healthy, who needs a conversation today. That’s what this dashboard is built for.

The date range toolbar now snaps to Monday-anchored training blocks — Week, Month, or Quarter — so your view always aligns with how you actually plan. Sport filter chips let you isolate runs, rides, swims, or strength sessions in one tap. All three dashboard charts are now interactive: hover over any bar or data point and you see the exact value, not an approximation. Zoom out to a quarter and the workout table groups by week automatically.

A new Health Metrics section sits between your fitness charts and your workout table. Collapsed, it shows a row of compliance chips — green, amber, red — so you know who’s current on measurements before you’ve scrolled anywhere. Expand it and each metric shows an inline sparkline, today’s value, and a delta colored by direction: weight and resting heart rate trending down is green, VO2 max trending up is green. You can configure the direction per metric in Team Settings. Click any row to open a metric history view — a 90-day trend chart, paginated entry log, and an optional inline input — all in a dialog without leaving the page.

Workout cards and the schedule got a complete visual overhaul. Each card carries a sport-colored left border and a status strip so the sport and outcome are unmistakable without reading a word. Completed cards show a two-column metrics grid, RPE, feel emoji, and time of day. The athlete schedule replaced the date picker with a compact week strip — seven day pills with sport-color dots and proportional load bars. Today scrolls into view automatically.

For coaches who go deeper after a session: completed workouts imported from a FIT file now show a Time-in-Zone panel in the workout detail sidebar — horizontal zone bars for HR, power, and pace so you can see exactly where your athlete’s effort went.

How this helps your coaching

  • For all coaches:

The dashboard is now your command center. Health metric compliance, training load trends, and sport filters are visible the moment you open the page — and interactive charts let you hover over any point for exact values. Workout cards show sport identity, completion status, and key metrics in a single scan. The athlete schedule shows the whole week at a glance with sport-color dots and load bars for each day.

  • For endurance coaches:

Completed workouts now show a Time-in-Zone breakdown for HR, power, and pace — see exactly where your athlete spent their effort across every zone. Health metric trends are now directionally aware: resting heart rate going down is green, VO2 max going up is green. Click any metric card for a 90-day trend chart and full history without leaving the page.

  • For cycling coaches:

Grade-adjusted pace for cycling now uses an aerodynamic physics model — gravity, rolling resistance, and aero drag — instead of the running-based formula. The model also pulls each athlete's actual body weight from their health metrics for a personalized calculation. Cycling GAP values will be noticeably more accurate, especially on varied terrain.
